One of Andover’s best known lettings agents, Belvoir Lettings, has become part of a national success story after scooping a major Gold award.
Belvoir Lettings has been named this year’s Best Lettings Agency Franchise at an awards ceremony in London. Belvoir topped the category in the annual Lettings Agency of the Year Awards and the award was accepted from comedienne Ruby Wax.
The judging of the awards is chaired by The Property Ombudsman and has the backing of ARLA – we are very appreciative of their support and recognition. The full judges report cited stringent standards and the appointment of high calibre franchisees as the main reasons for Belvoir’s success. The panel summarised their report by saying: “The companies business formula is proven to work and we are delighted to award Belvoir Lettings the gold'
The Judges comprise highly experienced property professionals including leading agents together with other industry experts and specialists all of whom have the experience of seeing many different agencies over many years and hence have the ability to contrast and compare one Lettings Agency with another.
Belvoir Andover co owner Phil Pinkney said: “I’m hugely proud of what Belvoir has achieved. In what has been a tough year for the UK economy, Belvoir has done remarkably well, and it promises to build on this success.
The general consumer trend is for members of the public to use well established and respected franchised companies which offer the security of guaranteed service levels, backed by a large network. Since its formation in 1994 Belvoir has created one of the UKs leading franchises and has won a wide range of accreditations and awards, both corporately and for individual franchisees within its national network.
In the first year following the successful acquisition of the Andover business, the owners Greg Greatbatch & Phil Pinkney are nominated for the High Achievers Award of 'Franchise of the Year' and go on to pick up winner of 'Most Improved Office 2006'

Less than two months after the Belvoir Lettings group scoop Gold at the Letting Agency of the Year Awards, Belvoir Andover are nominated by the group to be put forward for the 2010 Franchise of the Year Award at the upcoming event in September. This is an extremely prestigious award where nominees are up against large franchise chains such as Domino's Pizza, Toni & Guy, Martin & Co and thousands of others.

We have been selected as a finalist in the “National Lettings Agency of the Year” category for the Negotiator Awards 2010.
It has only been a couple of months since we were awarded the Gold award for the “Best Lettings Agency Franchise” and it’s been three weeks since two of our Franchise Owners (Cumbria and Southend-on-Sea) were selected as finalists for the “BFA Franchisee of the Year Awards 2010”. I am now incredibly pleased to announce that we’ve been shortlisted in the “National Lettings Agency of the Year” category for the Negotiator Awards 2010.
Last year Mike Goddard (Chaiman of the Belvoir Lettings Franchise Network) won the prestigious “Leader of the Year” award. This year, we have been entered for the ‘National Lettings Agency of the Year’ category and we have been shortlisted. We are up against Countrywide, Connells Lettings, Foxtons, Medics on the Move and Your Move, however we are the only specialist lettings agency in this category so have our fingers crossed for the awards ceremony in November.
